Türkiye Is Missing the Train on Domestic Drugs
An interview with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Güzel, who worked for 15 years as a researcher and project director at pharmaceutical companies in the USA, holds 60 patents and returned to Türkiye in 2014 to help develop domestic drugs. He describes the bureaucratic obstacles his projects have faced and argues that Türkiye can succeed in domestic drug production, as Singapore and South Korea have.
